 Guten Tag Bloggers how is your first week back at school going? personally, this week has been very long but it has been a pretty cool week with an awesome two-day leaders camp on Monday and Tuesday. At the end of the camp, we all had to make a pretty simple speech about what we took away from the camp and throughout the whole time We had two days of learning six habits to help with leading and being better people, in general, these were the habits.

Fly Frankfurters rocket video/the Final Launch

 Kia Ora Bloggers how is your day going, I am posting about my inquiry that we have been doing this term which was based on rockets, we have had our imbasedors come in to help us learn about engineering and helped us make our rockets and gave us good design ideas. We had 3 test flights to see if we wanted make any touchups, we changed stuff by adding 1 more wing to have 4 and added some weights in the nose cone to balance out our rocket.This is our video wich we have been working on for a few weeks, comment and let me know what you think see you next term.   :)

Science update

Hey, bloggers over the past 3 weeks my friend Tom and I have been working on this really cool science experiment and it is to do with creating and growing different types of crystals, such as sugar crystals salt crystals, and Borax crystals. We had to explain our hypothesis create a question, explain why our question is a good one and conduct our experiment, our crystals are still growing because they take time to form and create the crystals so when they are done I will share some photos on my blog. Coding work

Welcome back bloggers today I am sharing with you some of the photos from my coding video about picking up rubbish and I decided to have someone talking about it and then picking up the rubbish by the person watching clicking on the rubbish. I chose littering as my topic because I see it around all the time and I thought people need to hear more about how much of a problem it is, As you can see in the first few photos that is my code and I'll just explain a little bit about that to you, so you have to select sprite.move down(100) will make them move down 100 pixels and you just explain it to the computer like that.

Sparkling Southern/Northern lights

It's finally the last day of term and almost the holidays WoooHooooo! and for the last day, we have made these awesome Southern/Northern lights art pieces and I chose my colours to be red and blue In the back you may be able to see 7 prominent stars these are the 7 stars of Matariki and we have put them in there because over the past few weeks we have been doing Matariki so we just added it into our southern/Northern lights art. Did you know that the Southern and Northern lights actually come from particles from the sun that break through the earth's magnetosphere and create the lights. Brilliant Binary Bracelets

Hey Bloggers, Today we are learning about Binary and ASCII. 

Binary is a number system that uses 1’s and 0’s to represent all of our normal set of numbers.  You can use the place values as multiples of 2 to work out how to do it for yourself!  Try watching this video to give it a go yourself!

ASCII is a set of encoded symbols that a computer uses to turn Binary into letters and other symbols from the English language (like what is on our keyboard).  I turned my initials into binary numbers, and then turned those binary numbers into an ASCII code!  Using colors to represent the 1’s and 0’s, my initials in ASCII can be represented by the pattern you see in my image below!  

What do you think?  Have you ever tried encoding anything in binary or ASCII?  Could you have a try for yourself?  Can you work out how to write my initials in ASCII from the pattern above?

I chose to do the bottom one for my final product and the infinite symbol represents how my family is all linked together and the 4 korus show the number of family members I have and they get their own koru. Maths Using Python

It is a little hard to get used to using Kaggle and python but you don't use x for times because the computer can't process it but instead you use* and all the other ones change as well.

My Rainbow spray paint art

Different types of Wast

In this blog post we are going to be talking about waste, why are we talking about waste? Well, the reason we are talking about waste is that there is too much waste on this earth and it is destroying everything on it.

What is waste? There are many different types of waste. It is not just rubbish that you find in a bin it can be a waste of time or even the waste goes down the toilet. Waste is most of the time an item that most living things use and then dispose of it or it is something they don't need anymore so they get rid of it and it is then classified as waste.

In conclusion, there are lots of different types of waste and we need to think about how much waste we use because if we keep using so much our planet will die.
